Weird thing about these was, although they were exactly the same eyeliner (I checked n' everything!) one of them had a really thick brush, and the other a really thin one. Hmm. See below.

Now I must say out of the two, the gold one applied better. Not only was the brush thicker and thus easier to work with, it also stayed in place and didn't budge all day long. The silvery one is actually quite opaque when applied and tends to rub off quite easily. Also it had a thinner, scratchier brush that was just a nightmare to apply. Weird.
I didn't take any photos but i'm going to do some more summer eye looks on a budget and I'm confident these will be included.

So one up, one down for the MUA eyeliners, I think i'll check out the stand and see if it's just a weird glitch that one was thinner or whether they did design the silvery one a bit differently. Either way, they were a pound, so it's not like i'm grumbling really!
What do you think about the MUA range? I've heard good things about their nail polishes so I think I might check those out next. Is there anything you want to see reviewed? I'll definitely do some eye looks with these, i'm thinking I might do a budget youtube tutorial including them so stay tuned!

woah, the gold one is seriously impressive! x
ReplyDeleteThe gold one looks way opaque. I'm looking for a gold eyeliner. Maybe I should get this one.
ReplyDeleteI think it's because they're so cheap the quality control isn't there. That's what you mostly pay for (as well as packaging) so it's a gamble!

I've heard about LOADS of variation in that range- it's kinda a lucky dip! xxx
ReplyDeletei've only ever tried the lipsticks from MUA. i bought a few just to get an idea of what colours suited me and they basically applied like a clear oil on my lips - there was barely any colour ay all! kind of put me off but that gold eyeliner is gorgeous so i might have another look next time im in superdrug x
ReplyDeletehey was really impressed with their lipgloss. i did a mini review here - let me know what u think?

The gold looks worth a shot. I've tried the MUA eyeshadows before and you're right some are good and some aren't...overall I'm pretty impressed so am gonna try more MUA stuff.
ReplyDeleteI reviewed their eyeshadow, it's gorgeous and it stays on really well!
